[ One of the very first things that Eames learns about Arthur is that he's always early, to anywhere, no matter what, no matter what sort of travesty has happened that day, no matter if the moon's overshadowed the sun and the second coming of Christ has cars shoved together in bumper to bumper traffic.
None of that matters, because Arthur will be wherever he needs to be, at least an hour in advance. Eames goddamn guarantees it.
The problem is, Eames is never early, and he's found that the only way he can ever get the man alone is by falling to his level, just a bit. And that's why on that particular morning, he arrives at the empty business building that their employer rented out for their use during the planning stages of the job, at least two hours before he needs to be there.
He's not quiet when he enters, either, the heavy steel door slamming shut behind him, and he pauses as that sound echoes loudly, mouthing an unheard "oops" in the following silence. He passes through the corridor of the building, into the main lobby, and -- ah. Yes. Arthur. ]
My, my, what a surprise.
